Mintimer Shaimiev, ‘We should offer a new model of knowledge economics’

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the session of RT Academy of science. The participants discussed urgent problems connected with elaboration of Development strategy of scientific and innovative shpere of the republic.

Head of RT President administration Yury Kamaltynov, first vice PM Ravil Muratov, vice-chairman of RT State Council Rimma Ratnikova, and heads of ministries and departments took part in the meeting.

Projects of claster management model of scientific sphere and RT innovatice development were presented. As the elaborators of the project presume, inclusion of heads of leading industrial enterprises and heads of ministries and departments will contribute to practical realization of Development strategy of scientific and innovative shpere of Tatarstan republic.

The structure of RT Academy of Science should be changed. 51% of the members will be scientific workers, 25 % of the candidacies will be proposed by RT President, and the rest 24% will be rectors of higher educational institutions, and represetatives of business.
