Mintimer Shaimiev, "From squandering to economic approach"

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the opening ceremony of the VII International symposium “Power and resources effectiveness” and the VIII specialized “Power engineering. Resource saving - 2006” exhibition which takes place at “Kazan Fair” exhibition complex for 3 days.

Prime Minister of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of RT State Council Farit Mukhametshin, head of RT President administration Yury Kamaltynov, heads of ministries and departments, deputies of republican parliament, heads of large companies took part in the international symposium. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to Russian Federation Harry Helenius, the president of “Sitra” national fund and ex-PM of Finland Esko Aho and others were honorary guests of the ceremony.

200 enterprises and companies from different Russian cities and representatives of Italian, German, Spanish, Chinese, Norwegian, Polish, American, French, and Czech enterprises take part in the specialized exhibition. Heads and representatives of RF Government and RT Government, RF ministry of industry and power, “Gazprom” open corporation, “Tatneft” open corporation, “Tatenergo” and other state structures and organizaitons participate in the work of the exhibition and symposium.
