Mintimer Shaimiev opened exhibition dedicated to 70th anniversary of Tatarstan’s Union of Artists

December 23, Tatarstan president Mintimer Shaimiev visited the Exhibition Hall of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Tatarstan and took part in the opening ceremony of the exhibition dedicated to 70th anniversary of the organization.
The event was also attended by the RT State Council Chairman, Mr. Farid Mukhametshin, the Head of the RT Presidential Administration, Mr. Yuri Kamaltynov, the RT Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Culture, Ms. Zilya Valeyeva, and the Mayor of Kazan, Mr. Ilsur Metshin.
Greeting the participants and guests, the Tatarstan President congratulated the artists on his own behalf, on behalf of the State Council and the Government. “I’d like to thank the artists of all generations who have perpetuated our history, our life. – He said. The vision of the artist is always a more precise and finer reflection of life.” Mintimer Shaimiev said that the feeling of inner freedom is a characteristic feature of artistic personalities, and their talent is a gift from on high. The head of the republic wished the Tatarstan artists “further artistic success and good luck”.
