Mintimer Shaimiev, ‘Ak Bars is doomed for considerable responsibility’

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev met with the owners of European ice-Hockey Champions Cup – 2007 – “Ak Bars” hockey club. Kazan city mayor Ilsur Metshin, the president of “Ak Bars” club director general of “Tatneft” Shafagat Takhautdinov, chief coach of the club Zinnatulla Bilyaletdinov, and all the players of the main staff took part in the meeting.

‘Our team has won the European Ice-hockey Champions Cup. We would like to immortalize this event,’ Mintimer Shaimiev declared. ‘It’s a great work you’ve done! All the best European ice-hockey clubs competed for this title. But fortunately you won. Entire Russia is the owner of this honorary trophy. We congratulate you on behalf of Tatarstan Government, RT State Council and all the fans’ head of the republic emphasized.

‘The work is done. But it will not ease your situation. The more victories and titles, the more responsibility you take. You are anyway doomed for considerable responsibility. Everyone treats you as the champions’ the President added.
