RT President has met with Swiss Ambassador

February 8, the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev received the delegation of the Swiss Confederation headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia Mr. Erwin Hofer.
The participants of the meeting discussed prospects of Tatarstan’s economic development, issues related to attracting foreign investments, as well as broadening of trade-economic and cultural cooperation between Switzerland and Tatarstan.

The Head of Economic and Commercial Affairs Division of the Embassy, Mr. Daniel Hunn, Trade Counsellor Ms. Julie Baechtold, State Adviser to the President on economic issues, Mr. Marat Safiullin, Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Cooperation, Mr. Hafiz Salikhov, Mayor of Kazan, Mr. Ilsur Metshin, State Council Deputy, Rector of Kazan State University, Mr. Myakzyum Salakhov, Trade-economic Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in Switzerland, Ms. Guzel Salikhova, took part in the meeting.
