Tatarstan President and Qatar minister of finance discussed cooperation perspectives

Several documents on collaboration between Russian Federation and Middle East country were signed within the limits of working visit to Qatar. The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, met Vladimir Putin at the airport. After official welcome ceremony President Putin and Sheikh Hamad left for the chancellery of the Emir of Qatar in the same car.

Trade and economic cooperation was one of the main issues on the agenda at the talks between the two leaders. The talks were followed by the signature of a number of bilateral agreements; then President and Emir made press statements.

A conversation of Mintimer Shaimiev and Qatar minister of finance took place within the framework of the event. RT President invited Usef Husein Kamal to visit Tatarstan. Moreover, President invited head of Qatar Trade-Commerce Chamber sheikh Halif ben Jasem Al Tani. Opportunities of “Alabuga” special economic zone may be if interest to Qatar partners, from Mintimer Shaimiev’s point of view.

Jordan is the last point of Vladimir Putin’s Middle East tour. The members of Russian delegation arrived in the capital of Jordan Hamishit Kingdom – Amman late at night on February 12. Jordan and Russia are traditionally closely connected. From experts’ point of view, there are many projects in Jordan for Russian Federation to participate in.
