Participation of Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev in Middle East tour of head of Russian Federation finished

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev visited Jordan as a member of Russian official delegation headed by RF President Vladimir Putin.

Bilateral negotiations at the highest level took place within the limits of the visit of RF President to Jordan. Solemn official meeting ceremony preceded the negotiations. Guard of honor was marshaled in front of Basman King Palace. Military orchestra performed hymns of both Russian Federation and Jordan. Vladimir Putin and King Abdalla II communicated tête-à-tête and then the members of the delegations joined the heads. Situation in the Middle East and urgent issues of Russian-Jordan interaction were discussed.

The end of the negotiations by Russian President and Jordan king adopted a joint official statement on further expansion of friendship and cooperation between the 2 countries. Several agreements concerning cooperation in trade field were also signed.

The Middle East tour of RF President finished in February 13. Tatarstan President left for Kazan that evening.
