Mintimer Shaimiev, ‘Arabian dancers may take part in Sabantuy this year’

‘The first official visit of the head of Russian Federation in the countries of Arabian Peninsula opens a new page in interaction of our country with the Arabian world, ‘ this is the main result of the Middle East tour of Russian President from Mintimer Shaimiev’s point of view.

This announcement was made by RT President at the meeting in Kazan Kremlin with the head of Federal Agency of industry Boris Aleshin on February 14.

Mintimer Shaimiev noted, that the Arabian world realizes pretty well the necessity of preserving overall peace and harmonious coexistence of various religions. Practical achievement of a true dialogue of civilizations is a complicated process. RT President also mentioned that in the countries of Middle East they know much about life in Tatarstan, about revival of Islam and spirituality. And they have a wish to develop all-round cooperation, including the field of culture. ‘If dance crews from appear at some stages on sabantuy this year –don’t get surprised,’ Mintimer Shaimiev warned. He also informed that works of an outstanding scholar, philosopher and historic Shigabutdin Marjani will be published in Arabian language in Saudi Arabia. And a museum of Islam history will also open there.

‘All in all the spirit of the visit of Russian delegation to Middle East countries is very promising. We can say for sure that time for cooperation started,’ RT President concluded.
