Mintimer Shaimiev and Rashid Nurgaliev opened the first building in Russia of the department of internal affairs in the metro

The new building of the department of internal affairs opened in the metro in Kazan on March 1. Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev and RF minister of internal affairs, the general of the army Rashid Nurgaliev and the head of RT ministry of internal affairs Asgat Safarov cut the symbolic ribbon at the entrance of the high-tech 3 stored building.

Kazan is the only city among 7 cities with a subway system which rendered to the workers of law-enforcement bodies in the subway a separate building. Its opening creates favorable conditions for the manning to provide public security and anti-terroristic defense. There is a gym, a room of psychological relaxation, a conference hall, and a service room. The total square of the building is 2,8 thousand square meters.
