Mintimer Shaimiev presented RT and RF State awards

More than 50 Tatarstan citizens, working in different spheres of national economy, were invited to Kazan Kremlin, where the awarding ceremony was held. RT President Mintimer Shaimiev presented RT and RF State awards: orders, medals, insignias.
In his opening speech the President indicated that this week was full of different events: the country said good buy to the first Russian president Boris Yeltsin, and his successor Russian President Vladimir Putin came out with the Message to RF Federal Assembly. Mintimer Shaimiev called the message of the Russian President “ the message of creating country”, which consists of “requests, supported by financial and economic opportunities”. Mintimer Shaimiev pointed out: “Actually it was a report about Presidents` activity for last few years”.

Appealing to the auditory, Tatarstan President underlined: “You are the representatives of such profession which will help our country to become richer – in spiritual and material way”. The President of the Republic wished the members of the ceremony “health and prosperity”.

The first who was given the Presidential award was honored master of swimming, the winner of XX surdoolimpic games in Melbourne Olga Fedorova. Mintimer Shaimiev presented her a medal of honor. The President underlined: “She is just twenty, but she has about 15 awards”. Also was awarded the tutoress of a sportswoman Elena Kameshkova.

Together of Olga Fedorova the award was presented to director general of Kazan “Metroelectrotrance” Asfan Galyavov. The manager of RT President`s Apparatus Yuri Kamaltinow was awarded the award of Friendship, and tatrstan President State Councilor of social questions Tatyana Larionova was awarded by medal “The merits before Country of the second degree”.

Mintimer Shaimiev also presented award to 6 citizens of Tatarstan, having honorary title. “RF National artist” was given to Iskander Raficov; “RF honored worker of sciense” was given to Kazan State University worker Nail Sahibullin; the dean of Kazan State University juridical faculty Ildar Tarhanov became “RF Honored lawer”; RT vice Minister of Economy and Industry Rashat Farttahov became “RT Honoted economist”.

Some members of the solemn ceremony were given RT State awards: an actor of Kachalov drama theater Vadim Keshner, the chairman of RT Central electoral committee Anatoly Fomin and others.
