Chinese President Hu Jintao has arrived in Kazan

On the evening of March 27, Boeing 747 landed at the Kazan International Airport bringing the delegation of the People’s Republic of China headed by HE President Hu Jintao.

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev, RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov, RT State Council Chairman Farid Mukhametshin, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and other officials met the distinguished guest at the airport.

To welcome the Chinese leader, the guard of honour drew up at the airfield. Chinese, Russian and Tatarstan flags flied in the front of the airport building.

The visit of the Chinese delegation will take one day.

The delegation of the People’s Republic of China and the head of the delegation, HE President Hu Jintao, will see the presentation of Tatarstan’s economic potential at the International horse-racing complex. The delegation will visit one of the oldest universities in Russia, Kazan State University n.a. Lenin, and JSC Kazan Helicopters.

The distinguished guests from China will also do a guided tour of the Kazan Kremlin.
