Mintimer Shaimiev opened Ice Palace in Buinsk city

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev is on a work trip in Buinsk city on March 30. He has participated in the opening ceremony of Ice Palace “Arctic”.

The republican President and ministers who accompanied him – RT minister on youth affairs, sport and tourism Marat Bariev, RT minister of construction, architecture and housing services Marat Khusnullin, and also the head of Buinsk district Aglyam Sadretdinov cut a symbolical red ribbon at the entrance to the Ice Palace.

Mintimer Shaimiev presented a set of sport equipment to Buinsk hockey team. At the instance of the team captain he threw the first puck on the ice.

RT President Mintimer Shaimiev also participated in the solemn opening ceremony of Sport Complex “Dolphin” in Buinsk. President greeted the ceremony participants and indicated that four new sites have been opened today in Buinsk: Ice Palace “Arctic”, a new building of RF Sberbank Buinsk Department, Sport Complex “Dolphin” and the reconstructed building of the city Dramatic Art Theatre. “It demonstrates the level of our development and the district potential,” - Mintimer Shaimiev emphasized.

According to Buinsk Municipal District head Aglyam Sadretdinov, a years-old dream of Buinsk citizens – the first sport complex with a swimming pool appeared in the city. “When we addressed the President to apportion assets for construction of sport institutions, he agreed to render assistance at once,” – A.Sadretdinov informed.
