Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the launch of a new line at Arakchino Gypsum Plant

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev has participated in the solemn ceremony of launching a technological line at Arakchino Gypsum Plant in Kazan. The production of the plant successfully competes on the market of gypsum products in both in Russia and CIS countries.

Financing resources of investment in the new project were provided by commercial credits of “Intehbank” and “Kara Altyn” banks. An agreement on delivery of a technological line on manufacture of gypsum production was signed with Chinese Company Jinzhou DongFeng Machinery in 2006. Assemblage of the line was finished in March, 2007.

Mintimer Shaimiev greeted participants and noted that Tatarstan is renowned for large supplies of gypsum. “We can’t brag about supplies of other materials – but gypsum is the wealth of our republic”, – RT President emphasized.

State Councilor on economic affairs under RT President Marat Safiullin, Kazan mayor Ilsur Metshin, Executive Director of the State Housing Fund under RT president Talgat Abdullin, chairman of Directors Board of “Kara Altin” Rinat Abdullin, head of “Arakchinsky Gypsum” Ltd Shamil Galiev, director general of DongFeng Machinery Chi Ji Tyanu and other officials took part in the solemn launching ceremony.
