Tatarstan interested in realization of new projects with participation of “De Laval” Company

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev received representatives of Companies Group “Tetra Laval” at the official residence in Kazan Kremlin.

“Tetra Laval Group” is a private industrial group, which was founded in Sweden. It consists of three independent industry groups: “Tetra Pak”, “DeLaval” and “Sidel”. The group focuses on systems for processing, packaging, distribution of food products, and facilities for dairy production and cattle-breeding. Annual turnover of the group exceeds 9 billion Euros.

The Swedish delegation was headed by “Tetra Laval Group” joint owner Mrs. Kirsten Rausing - the granddaughter of “Tetra Pak” company founder Ruben Rausing. Private means of Kirsten Rausing is estimated as $3.9 billion (the second place according to the volume of private means among Great Britain women). Mrs. Rausing is a member of Jockeys Club, the chairman of the European Federation of Thoroughbred Breeders’ Associations in Paris.

Mintimer Shaimiev had presented a bucket of spring flowers to Mrs. Rousing before the official part of the meeting started. During the conversation Mintimer Shaimiev expressed his opinion that “DeLaval” Company remains one of the best in the world in elaboration and implementation of dairy production technologies. “You manage to preserve wonderful traditions laid by the eldest generation, - the head of Tatarstan emphasized. - We have been collaborating with you and are certain about efficiency of your production. Our republic has become one of the largest dairy producers of Russia thanks to your assistance.

According to Mintimer Shaimiev’s words, he sees the future of Tatarstan agro industry in creation of large agricultural complexes. “Theoretically, large complexes are more efficient, I think it is a safe variant,” - he said.

After the end of the meeting Kirsten Krausing and deputy RT Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture and Foodstuff Marat Akhmetov answered journalists’ questions. According to Mrs. Rausing, it was a great pleasure to represent “Tetra Laval Group” in Tatarstan. “I have been visiting Kazan for only 24 hours. I have managed to visit not only the megafarms of Mr. Khayrullin, but also get familiarized with Kazan sights, - the guest informed. - I am very impressed by the great quality of chernozem on the firms. I was most impressed by your hospitality and enthusiasm - longing for progress; it deserves respect”.

“DeLaval” is an uncontested strategic partner for us, - Marat Alhmetov emphasized. - We managed to realize projects to the amount of 3 billion rubles”. “This partner is important for us because our region is the largest dairy-producing region in the Russian Federation, as we produce more than 7% of Russian dairy,” - the head of RT Ministry of Agriculture emphasized.
