RT President directed condolence to Naina Yeltsina

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev sent a telegram to Naina Yeltsina and expressed the most profound condolences in connection with the death of her husband – legendary Boris Yeltsin, as the press-service of RT President informs.

“It’s impossible to overestimate the role of the first President of Russia in the history of our state. Outstanding state figure of the contemporary epoch displayed great courage and took a colossal load of responsibility for Russians’ future, became a reliable guarantor of radical democratic reforms in political life of the Russian Federation.

Tatarstan citizens will always remember Boris Yeltsin with gratitude – coming into being and development of the Republic of Tatarstan, formation of real principles of federalism is connected with his name.
