M.Shaimiev, G.Gref, J.Lemierre visited the exhibition of Tatarstan’s investment opportunities

Before the plenary session “Russian regions – strategies of the growth” within the framework of EBRD’s summit, which is taking place in Kazan, the exhibition, dedicated to Tatarstan’s investment potential, opened in “Korston” trade and entertainment complex.

EBDR’s President, Jean Lemierre, Russian Minister of trade and economic development, German Gref, studied an exposition, situated on 300 square metres. Distinguished guests were followed by RT President, Mintimer Shaimiev, and RT Prime Minister, Rustam Minnikhanov.

The acquaintance with the stands of the biggest and highly developing region’s enterprises was started with the exposition of the leader of Tatarstan economy – JSC “Tatneft”. Jean Lemierre and German Gref paid a lot of attention to oil and chemistry complex, presented by JSC “Nizhnekamskneftehim”, “Nizhnekamskshina”, “Kazanorgsintez”. Main part of the exposition belonged to the enterprises of machine branch: JSC “KamAZ”, “Kazankompressormash”, and others.

Some managers of the enterprises, presenting their companies on the exhibition, got the support of Russian Ministry of trade and economic development. German Gref promised his department’s help to director general of “Plant, named after Sergo”, Radic Hasanov. They will help to widen the assortment of big domestic equipment, producing by the plant. Besides refrigerators “Pozis”, they are going to produce gas-stove and washing machines.

At the end of the visit, EBRD’s President, federal Minister and Republican authorities stopped near the stand of RT Investment-venture fund and Tatarstan’s multi media stand. This informational resource allows getting information about economic indexes of enterprises in on-line regime. It also allows finding out more about their offerings for potential clients and investors.
