President of Tatarstan met the Ambassador of Australia in Russia Mr. Robert Tyson

On 19 May, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaymiev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Russian Federation Mr. Robert Tyson in the course of the reception at the International horseracing complex “Kazan”.
Mr. Tyson said that they discussed opportunities for Australian investment in the economy of Tatarstan. “We also spoke about cooperation in the field of agriculture, education, culture and tourism, which would help strengthen the position of Australia as a foreign-trade partner of Tatarstan”, he added.
Also discussed at the meeting were potentialities for cooperation between the “Worley Parsons” corporation and the Tatarstan’s companies “Tatneft” and “Tatneftekhiminvest-holding”.
