Kazan revived the tradition of charity balls

First Republican charity ball was hold in Kazan on June 1. Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev took part in it.

The representatives of Tatarstan establishment gathered in hotel and entertainment complex Korston. The heads of republican departments, enterprises, businessmen, parliamentarians, and representatives of social organizations took part in this event.

In the hall of the hotel complex there was an exhibition-sale, where the guest could see exclusive jewelry, antiquities, the gallery of collection wines, art gallery. The recourses form the sale will be used for the charity purposes.

Before this event Tatarstan President studied the exhibition. In wine gallery the head of the republic saw rarity champagne of the old French house of champagne wined “L’exclusive Rueniar”, the cost of which is 95,000 rubbles (Russia has 30 bottles of this champagne). The exclusive bottle of the sparkling wine, diamond necklace, the book about Kazan with President’s autograph with the personal address to the customer were displayed for sale within the framework of the ball. The head of the republic also paid attention to the exhibition of the arts, made by the student of the republican social institutes. This exhibition was situated near the hall of celebrations – the basic ball place.

The ceremony started with the film about charity ball tradition in Kazan and about famous Kazan patrons. Then opera singers together with children chorus sang the hymn if the charity ball “A step to the kindness”.

The guests of the holiday were greeted by Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev. According to him, this event is historical, because the charity ball is hold in Kazan for the first time for 100 years.

“We revived wonderful tradition in Kazan, - underlined the head of the republic. – In spite of the difficulties of the transitional period and that several generations didn’t have this opportunity, there are people here who decided to start this kind affair”.

According to Mintimer Shaimiev, the organizers managed to sell almost 500 tickets. Thus they got planned sum of money 7,5 million rubles. Tatarstan President thanked director general Tattransgaz Rafkat Kantukov for the organization of the event and for the organization’s help to those who need in everyday life.

For several months of RT charity year in RT there was not only material support to for those who really need it but people started to care more about the fates of such people. “The increase of the prosperity should coincide with the kind attitude to each other – underlined he. – If everybody thinks about this the life will become more comfort”. RT President thanked all the citizens of Tatarstan with “the golden heart”.

The stars of Russian show business Nicolay Baskov and Anastasia Zavorotnuk, the artists of classical theater of opera and ballet, folklore dance group “Kazan, musical band Reflex, and Kazan pop-star Asylyar took part in the first republican charity ball.
