Mintimer Shaimiev got honorable diploma of Islamic Conference Youth forum

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev has received at his official residence in Kazan Kremlin the delegacy of Islamic Conference “For dialogue and cooperation” on June 7. The participants of the youth organization were headed by Turkish Prime Minister Councilor on the religious questions Ali Sarikai.

Youth forum of Islam Conference “For dialogue and cooperation” was set up in Baku in December 2004. It was done with the participation of 40 leading national and international youth organizations, presented 35 countries of Islam conference Organization, and also Muslim minorities of Europe.

During today’s meeting with RT President they discussed issues of cooperation between YFIC and youth organizations of the republic. They also talked about Istanbul declaration, adopted under forum’s patronage, about YFIC’s cooperation perspectives not only with Tatarstan Sociable Organizations, but also with the Russian Federation’s ones.

According to the decision of the members and the board of YFIC, Mintimer Shaimiev got the honorable diploma for making his contribution to support of peace and youth’s development.

The forum secretary general Elshad Iskanderov, Azerbaijan vice Minister for Youth and Sport Intigam Babaev, Director Councilor of European Council Board of Youth and Sport Gai Mishel Brander, RT State Councilor on international issues – Director of RT President’s Department of External Contacts – Timur Akulov, RT Minister for Youth, Sport and Tourism Marat Bariev have taken part in the forum.
