Delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by RT president Mintimer Shaimiev participates in the XI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The head of the republic arrived in St. Petersburg on June 8. He attends the opening ceremony of the forum on June 9.
The XI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is held on the territory of Lenexpo. Total square of exhibitions within the framework of the event makes up about 20 000 square meters. Exhibitions will become a starting ground for cooperation; they present the most up-to-date topics: “Innovative achievements of Russia”, “Projects of RF Investment Fund”, “Regional investment projects”, “Industrial design”, etc.
The Republic of Tatarstan presents an exposition on topics of innovative achievements (JSC Tatneft), regional investment projects, and also projects of RF Investment Fund and RosOEZ (Special Economic Zone Alabuga).
After the solemn opening ceremony of the forum, Mintimer Shaimiev will take part in the plenary session of St. Petersburg Economic Forum “Russia – scenario 2020” at Congress Hall of Lenexpo.
More than 3 thousand participants from over 60 countries of the world are registered on the XI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Members of Tatarstan delegation are the first Vice-Premier of RT – Minister of Economy and Industry, Boris Pavlov, RT Minister of Trade and External Economic Cooperation, Khafiz Salikhov, representatives of JSC Tatneft, the head of the Federal Agency for Management of Special Economic Zones in RT, Timur Shagivaleev and others, as the official portal of Tatarstan Government informs.
Informal opening ceremony of the forum took place yesterday. Joint concert of “Scorpions” band and Mariinsky Theatre Symphonic Orchestra was held at Palace Square of St. Petersburg. St. Petersburg Governor, Valentina Matvienko and RF Minister of Economic Development and Trade, German Gref greeted participants of the International economic Forum and the audience.
