Mintimer Shaimiev, ‘Preventive measures against violence should be done by state and by social structures’

Tatartsan President Mintimer Shaimiev told Mass Media about the results of Russian State Council’s session held in Rostov-on-Don.

During the session of RF State Council, held under the chairmanship of Russian President Vladimir Putin, they discussed the most important preventive measures against violence and for providing sociable safety.

Tatarstan President said that during last years several crime groups were liquidated in Tatarstan. He also added: “Criminal structures don’t find their place in Tatarstan. They don’t feel comfortable there. But I can nit say that the problem is solved absolutely. Unfortunately we still have a lot of crimes”.

According to Mintimer Shaimiev, Vladimir Putin touched a very interesting question about government work with population. “Special attention was paid to the preventive measures against crimes, to work with the youth. It a task of as state as social structures”, expressed his opinion RT President. According to him, to high the level of crimes’ revealing the government should increase the requirements to the law-enforcement organs. “We have to do huge work. We need special ways and programs”, pointed out Mintimer Shaimiev.
