The dialogue of oil men with Tatarstan Government in Yelabuga region

The traditional meeting of Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev with the management of oil companies has been held on July 6 in Yelabuga region.

RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov, RT Chairman of State Council Farid Moukhametshin, the heads of some Ministries, departments and municipal organizations of the republic have taken part in the conference.

“Such meeting became a good tradition, - said, opening the meeting Mintimer Shaimiev. – They allow to sum up the results and to determine future directions. This meeting is notorious because it takes place on the eve of mining 3 billion tons of oil in Tatarstan”. RT President also has underlined that this is a unique case in world scale, when on one field there can be minded such quantity of oil without practical lost for the economy.

Mintimer Shaimiev, being satisfied from the exhibition of technologies, which has been organized on the island, has pointed out that he is happy with the experience and qualification of the workers, because of which oil mining stabilization and increase are possible.

Director general of JSC Tatneft Shafagat Tahautdinov has informed the participants of “oil summit” about company’s activity. For 6 months of 2007 Tatneft mined 12,99 million tons of oil. It is 2,2 percent more than at the same period of the last year.

There were 13 billion rubles of investment, including 2 billion rubles for recourse base widening out of Tatarstan. Out of RT the company works in Samara, Orenburg regions and Kalmykia. They keep on realize the projects in Syria and Libya. The geophysics of the company successfully works out the regions of Tunis, Morocco, Angola, and Kazakhastan.

Tire complex of Tatarstan is developing. To increase the quality of tire production not long time ago they started new exploitation of rubber mixtures. The high quality of production can be judged by the agreement, signed with the company Pirreli about production of automobile tire-cover under its brand. Next step for development competition abilities of the production wil be issuing of one piece metal cord tires.

Mintimer Shaimiev underlined the importance of these projects in the view of the increasing needs of automobile industry, especially KAMAZ.

Tatneft director general has told also about social activity of the company: building of some big social objects, the support of young families, veterans and others. Shafagat Tahautdinov has also reminded that very soon republic will celebrate the mining of 3 billion tons of oil. It is a unique result for such small area.

Summing up the results of the session Mintimer Shaimiev has underlined the development of oil area; and he has put a task to concentrate scientific opportunities and possibilities to determine where and on which territories the oil miners should work in the future. As one of the geographical directions he has named Western territories of Tatarstan.
