On July 5 in Kazan Kremlin in the presence of Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev there has been signed an Agreement between RT Government and State Corporation Bank for Development and External Economic Activity (Vnesheconombank).
Opening the meeting Mintimer Shaimiev thanked the management of Vnesheconombank that after getting state registration the governmental delegacy of the bank chose Tatarstan for its visit. According to the head of the republic, Vnesheconombank is an authorized and serious financial institute, which should become “a face of our country, an index of its financial stability international affairs and internal policy”. “There are some world institutes, which work and create necessary conditions. In this case your service will work for the interests of the whole country, providing normal economic development”, underlined Mintimer Shaimiev.
“The country is out of crises. And it is time to provide competition development to our economy, - continued Tatarstan President. – In our republic we take very serious measures, we start changing the managing system. But he have to go further, or we w ill be behind again. It is time to turn to the rails of stable development”.
The head of the Republic shortly introduced priorities in the development of our republic to the representatives of the bank. He pointed out that Tatarstan is not going to increase oil volumes, because today special attention is paid to receiving of maximally additional cost. “Republic is directed to the development of oil and chemistry industries”, underlined Mintimer Shaimiev. He also named several directions which will allow providing intensive increase of Tatarstan economy: technical parks, Special economic Zone Alabuga, the producing of automobile components and assembly producing of the cars. “Until 2010 we can become a big producer of the cars”, announced Tatarstan President. Talking about agriculture, he said that in spite the diminishing of the harvest (it can happen because of changes in the climate), our Republic’ index will be 5 million tons of the bread.
The agreement has been signed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov and the head of Vnesheconombank Vladimir Dmitriev. The sides came to an agreement to commit joint actions to organize investment projects’ financing in the following directions: fuel, oil and chemical industry, producing and processing of agriculture products, energetic, radio electronic, aircraft and machine building, and road building.
Within the framework of the legacy the sides came to an agreement about mutual cooperation in investment projects’ financing; reducing of the risk, connected with the financing of the investment projects; the exchange of information about investment projects, the realization of which is planned in RT; the creation of joint work groups for examining of perspective investment projects.
After the meeting Vladimir Dmitriev and Rustam Minnikhanov answered the questions of Mass Media. According to the head of RT Government, signed agreement foresees the realization of the big projects in our republic. “We held shot presentations of some worked projects. Our plans coincide with Vnesheconombank positions, which means the development of infrastructure for development small and middle business, which gives an opportunity for the existence of middle class”, said RT Prime Minister.
Prime Minister also added that within the framework of the agreement special work groups will be created.
“After creating the Bank for Development and Internal Economic Activity, after forming of its management, Tatarstan was the first regional area for such huge representative delegacy of the bank, - pointed out Vladimir Dmitriev. – And it is understandable, because the republic develop very dynamically, it is one of the economical locomotive of our country. More over there are some projects, which coincide with prioritized directions of our bank”.
“Everything depends on us: we will prepare documentation for the projects as well as possible”, underlined Rustam Minnikhanov. “In our turn we will do our best that your documentation was literally examined by the bank”, assured the head of Vnesheconombank.
