Mintimer Shaimiev, ‘The youth should remember that Tatarstan is the native land of our ancestors’

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev addressed to the participants of Tatar Youth Days and I festival of Muslim Youth, which opened in Kazan on July 15.

“We should remember that Tatarstan is a historical land of all Tatars, - said the head of the Republic. – We need to develop our spirituality when everything is changing in this world. In such time it is very important to keep your connection with ancestors and your own history. We have to hand it over to the future generations”.

According to Mintimer Shaimiev, such forum and work in the field of  youth policy in Tatarstan are the “results of country’s openness to the world. And we have to use this opportunity”. “We rely on our youth”, underlined Tatarstan President.

“You can enrich the nation with new ideas, - said Mintimer Shaimiev to the participants of the event. – I have no doubts that you will manage to do this”. Mintimer Shaimiev thanked RF Presidents Plenipotentiary representative in Privolzhsky Federal District Alexander Konovalov for the organization of the  forum. Tatarstan President underlined the importance and actuality of the event.

“If good will, which was demonstrated during the organization of the forum,  will be the same in all activities, democratic society in the country will develop even faster”, RT President considered. “We can do something special for this world. And that’s our task. We can do it!” - sum up Mintimer Shaimiev.
