Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev visited Nizhnekamsk municipal district on August 1. The main purpose of the working visit was participation in the events devoted to the 40th anniversary of the first production of JSC Nizhnekamskneftehim.
RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov, RT State Council Chairman Farid Moukhametshin, the first Vice-Premier of RT Boris Pavlov, heads of ministries, municipal formations, and large petrochemical enterprises also took part in the ceremony.
“The project predetermining fate of JSC Nizhnekamskneftehim,” Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev characterized the gas turbine plant GTU-75 at the ceremony of launching a new energy project in Nizhnekamsk.
GTU-75 was constructed in 2 years on the territory of Nizhnekamsk heat-electric generating plant. The owner of the new project is JSC Nizhnekamskneftehim, which invested 2 billion 120 million rubles in construction. The plant is equipped by General Electric facilities and three boilers manufactured in Podolsk.
Director General of JSC Nizhnekamskneftehim Vladimir Busygin indicated that the enterprise now has its own power-supplier, which is efficient and pollution-free. “We hope even if prices for gas rise, we will be able to hold prices for heat and electric energy on the previous level,” he said.
Director General of JSC Tatenergo Ilshat Fardeev emphasized that implementation of GTU-75 is “a bright example of private investment in large-scale power-engineering”.
Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev made a speech and noted: “The project that is launched today is very efficient; it predetermines fate of Nizhnekamskneftehim”. As the head of the republic explained, competitive capability of production becomes better due to reduction of energy prime cost. The President assured that modern energy projects will appear in the republic in future.
Mintimer Shaimiev also visited several sites of Nizhnekamsk during his working visit. A plant on manufacturing road bitumen, which was commissioned by JSC TAIF-NK in February 2007, was demonstrated him.
Director General of the enterprise Alexander Babynin reported that the plant allows manufacturing of 2 kinds of high-quality bitumen for the upper and lower levels of roads covering. He considers the technology, which is used at the plant, to be like a “Mersedes in bitumen industry”, as it allows producing different petrochemical raw materials without stops. Representatives of the republic, other RF regions, Belarus, Kazakhstan purchase this production.
Answering M. Shaimiev’s question, A.Babynin informed that the planned production capacity made up 11.5 thousand tons per month in July.
