September 3, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev met with Igor Fenogenov, CEO of the Eurasian Bank for Development.
The Eurasian Bank for Development was established by Kazakhstan and Russia in January 2006. The Agreement on the establishment of the bank was signed during RF President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Astana. In spring 2006, the parliaments of the two countries ratified the agreement.
The bank was founded to promote steady development of economies of member-countries, encourage economic growth, extend trade and develop other forms of economic relations, encourage direct investment.
