Representatives of the United Russia leadership have headed regional election lists

October 2, the federal list of candidates to RF State Duma deputies was approved at the 8th Congress of the United Russia party. It was decided that Russian President Vladimir Putin would head United Russia’s list.
Boris Gryzlov, Chairman of the United Russia party, Speaker of the RF State Duma, is first on St. Petersburg’s election list.
The Co-Chairmen of the Higher Council of the United Russia party also headed regional lists: Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev – that of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov – Moscow, Head of the Emergency Situations Ministry Sergei Shoigu – Stavropol krai.
