President's greeting on teh occasion of Eid ul-Fitr

President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev has sent a greeting to mufti sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, Chairman of the Russian Council of Muftis and the Religious Board of Muslims of the European part of Russia.
“With all my heart I congratulate you and in your person all Muslims of the Russian Federation on the occasion of Eid ul-Fitr. May Ramadan Bairam, the holiday that follows a complex but blessed period of fasting, bring the joy of obtaining new spiritual experience, help multiply our efforts in doing deeds of good and piety.
Today, the Russian Muslim umma plays a more important role in confirming high spiritual and moral values in society, holds a proactive position in keeping peace and consent, promotes a fruitful ethnoconfessional dialogue in the country and development of cooperation of the Russian Federation and the Islamic world. I sincerely wish all Muslims of Russia health and happiness, optimism and inexhaustible spiritual strength to successfully follow the path of all-sided self-improvement and noble undertakings that encourage our common harmony and social progress”, reads the greeting.
