Mintimer Shaimiev awarded RT Internal Affairs Ministry officials

November 9, on the eve of the Militia Day, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev presented awards to officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Kazan Kremlin.

Before presenting the awards, the head of the republic addressed the gathering saying that in the 90s according to opinion polls among the most acute problems for people crime was first; although there were different problems such as unsettlement of people, delays in wages, lack of jobs. The recent years, especially in Tatarstan, saw criminal issues being removed to the background. It proves that the law-enforcing bodies of the republic did a huge job.

Chief of Staff of the President Yuri Kamaltynov, First Deputy Prime-minister Ravil Muratov, Deputy State Council Chairman Aleksander Gusev, Internal Affairs Minister Asgat Safarov, Public Prosecutor Kafil Amirov, Head of the RT Federal Security Service Directorate Evgenyi Vdovin and law-enforcement officials attended the ceremony.
