November 27, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev presented state awards to as many as 57 representatives of various professions – heads of municipal districts, turners, actors, teachers, researchers, ecologists and journalists at the Kremlin’s White Hall.
“Today, this hall is the meeting place for people who continue working in any economic circumstances thanks to their diligence and talents and do that in a way that makes the republic feel proud of them”, with these words Mintimer Shaimiev started his speech.
Having noted that the meeting was taking place before a very important event for the country – the elections to the fifth State Duma, the RT President underlined that he did not doubt those present had already made their choice. “We tried to explain to the people that we want to uphold the existing course of the country’s development. That is true we haven’t left anyone behind yet, but we sought and found ways of going through the crisis. The life is improving every day. And today we have no other way or other course. I believe that the people of Tatarstan know what they should be guided by, they can make their choice”, the Tatarstan President said.
