Mintimer Shaimiev at Zurab Tsereteli’s exhibition in Kazan

February 4, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev visited the exhibition of works by Zurab Tsereteli, the President of the Russian Academy of Arts, people’s artist of the USSR and Russia, taking place in the National Gallery Khazine in the Kazan Kremlin.
The exhibition was opened on December 11, 2007 and dated to the 250th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Arts.
Zurab Tsereteli presented a certificated of Honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts to Mintimer Shaimiev. He said the Presidium of the Academy decided to do so on January 22 “marking a big contribution of the head of Tatarstan to the development of art”.
RT deputy prime-minister – culture minister Zilya Valeyeva, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin also attended the event.
