Mintimer Shaimiev presented head of the Heroes of Tatarstan with the highest republican award

March 6, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev presented Ildus Mostyukov, the chairman of the social organization “Heroes of Tatarstan”, with the Order “For Merits before the Republic of Tatarstan”.
Greeting Ildus Mostyukov on his 80th anniversary, the head of the republic remembered how they had got acquainted. Mintimer Shaimiev had mistaken him for another person. In those times one shouldn’t have spoken about what Ildus Mostyukov had done, it was secret information. “The country did not know such people by sight; but that did not belittled their services before it” Mintimer Shaimiev said.
Mintimer Shaimiev emphasized that Ildus Mostyukov had been the chief designer of recognition systems that strengthened the country’s defence capacity. “The system is the most reliable one in the world. He managed to apply the world’s best practices in this sphere. The country highly appreciated his services”, said the President.
