The RT President Mintimer Shaimiev visited a number of Agricultural and Road facilities in Rybny-Sloboda District

On 3 May the RT President Mintimer Shaimiev visited the Republic Rybny-Sloboda District. The President paid attention to the status of the roads and agriculture in the district.

The first item on the agenda of Mintimer Shaimiev visit was the farm of the local investor – the owner of agricultural firm Kulon, Albert Fahrutdinov. Here the President viewed the seed complex, granary, taking a look at the operation of the mill and bakery.

Mintimer Shaimiev also visited OOO Slobodskoye, where he found out more about the sowing works.

The main topic of the RT President’s conversation with the local farmers was the state of affairs at the district agro-industrial complex. The President pointed out that the state of affairs in the district is oppressive, as a whole. According to the RT Deputy Prime-Minister, the Minister of Agriculture Marat Akhmetov, last year in particular the farm produce for the amount of RUR 600 million was produced in the farm, whereas the revenue accounted for RUR 287 million. Increase in output made up 8 %, whereas in the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan the average index is 20%.

“We can not allow the district to be lagging behind”, continued the President. “It can disappear totally. I have to mention that the farming enterprise is far from proving its worth country-wide. Moreover, should the land fails to be operable, local governments at the villages will not get taxes, which is a social factor. That is why the agrarians have to work at the available conditions”.
