Mintimer Shaimiev: Tatarstan always cared about its veterans

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev has given keys from new cars to 30 invalids of WWII. This event is dated to 63rd anniversary of the victory. The Chairman of RT State Council Farid Moukhametshin, Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin, RT Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Protection Ayrat Shafigullin, RT Minister of Health Public Protection Ayrat Farrahov have taken part in the ceremony on the square in front of National Cultural Center Kazan.

“I am happy to meet you these days, - Republican President appealed to veterans. – Unfortunately, fewer participants of those events are here. It is the life. But the task of a young generation is to care all things, which are connected with Great Victory; we must respect our veterans and to keep memory about that events”.

“Even during after perestroika period our republic cared about veterans, - Mintimer Shaimiev pointed out. – And we tried to do our best for them. We started giving them cars long time ago. For now we have already given 5670 cars”.

Together with other honored guests Tatarstan President has given keys from 30 cars to Kazan and other Tatarstan towns veterans.

Tatarstan President’s Assistant on social issues Tatiana Larionova has informed that the republican government has paid and pays a lot of attention to veterans. Thus, greater share of money for cars was given by the republican budget.

This time 162 cars were allocated to Tatarstan invalids by the federal center.
