Mintimer Shaimiev: We created conditions to take care about veterans maximally

May 8, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev took part it the opening of the first specialized apartment building for veterans of the Great Patriotic War in the capital of Tatarstan. The apartment building will be the permanent residence of lonely war veterans.

Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin, RT Minister of Health Public Protection Ayrat Farrahov, RT President’s State Councilor on social issues Tatiana Larionova and others has taken part in the ceremony too.

“The youngest occupant of this house is 82 years old. These people are in difficult life situation – they are war participants, they are toilers. We created conditions to take care about this people maximally”, - Mintimer Shaimiev says.

Last time flats for invalids and war veterans were given for 55th anniversary of the Great Victory.
