Mintimer Shaimiev met with the evaluation commission of the International University Sports Federation

May 17, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev met with the evaluation commission of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) headed by FISU executive committee vice-president Stefan Berg (Sweden). The commission consists of FISU executive committee members: Sinisa Jasnic (SCG), Stavros Douvis (Greece), Malumbete Ralet (the Republic of South Africa), Hisato Igarashi (Japan), Christian Pierre (Belgium) and Kemal Tamer (Turkey). The delegation is accompanied by the president of the Russian student sports association, FISU executive committee member Mr. O.Matytsin.

Tatarstan Prime-Minister R.Minnikhanov, Minister of youth, sports and tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan M.Bariev, Head of the municipal formation of Kazan city, mayor I. Metshin and others took part in the meeting.

After the visit to Kazan the evaluation commission will complete report, which will be announced May 31 before voting of FISU members of executive committee. On this day they will decide, which city will host Youth Olympic Games 2013.
