Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev meets with academician Oleg Sinyashin

President of the Republic of Tatartsan Mintimer Shaimiev met with newly-elected Chairman of Kazan Science Center of Russian Academy of Science, academician Oleg Sinyashin on May 20.

The head of the republic congratulated Oleg Sinyashin on his election for this high post – chief of one of the oldest regional scientific centers of Russian Academy of Science. He wished the academician fruitful work, as the press-service of Tatarstan President reports.

Up-to-day issues of Kazan Scientific Center of Russian Academy of Science were discussed at the meeting. Using Kazan center as a large complex of academic institutes, which is well-known for its discoveries and achievements, for innovative development of the country was considered.

Main condition of innovative process is implementation of scientific research results into real economy. Kazan Scientific Center, Tatarstan Academy of Science, higher education institutions, and new innovative infrastructure and investment funds, enterprises of the republic should make joint efforts in this direction.
