RT President Mintimer Shaimiev met with President of Syrian Arab Republic and Head of Syrian Government

Visit of Tatarstan official delegation led by President of RT Mintimer Shaimiev to Syria continues. Today President of the Syrian Arab Republic Bashar Asad received President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev in his residence.

Beforehand the reception Chairman of Syrian council of ministers Muhammad Naji Otari visited the head of Tatarstan at hotel “Meridian”. “Your visit is very valuable for us. I always keep a close watch on developments and successes of Tatarstan in various spheres. I think that we have all the prerequisites for fruitful cooperation, since our desires coincide with our possibilities”, - said head of Syrian Government.

RT First Deputy Prime-Minister Ravil Muratov, State Advisor to RT President on international affairs – Director of Department of foreign affairs Timur Akulov, RT Minister of trade and foreign economic cooperation Hafiz Salikhov and Representative of RF MFA to Kazan Haidar Galiev took part in the conversation.

The same day presentation of trade-economic and investment potential of Tatarstan will take place in the capital of Syria.
