Mintimer Shaimiev met with Grigory Rapota

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev met with Grigory Rapota, the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District, in the Kazan Kremlin on June 5.

The parties discussed the issue of construction of units for federal and territorial government bodies. Mintimer Shaimiev said that the construction and equipment of the new building for the Federal Security Service in the city centre is coming to an end. The newly built building of the Tatarstan Government, the RT State Council and the RT Supreme Court which is under construction now constitute an integrated ensemble in Svobody Square.

The Plenipotentiary Envoy of the Russian President marked the positive fact that the Tatarstan capital is seeing the construction of state-of-the-art buildings for republican and federal authorities. It demonstrates that the republican leadership pays close attention to the issue. It is important that accoutrements of power have decent appearance.

During the two-day visit to Kazan, Grigory Rapota already visited the Federal educational centre for preparation of experts on rendering hi-tech medical aid "Medical educational center of high technologies".

He is also to visit the Tatarstan Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Crisis Management Centre under the RT Government and see the presentation of the Universiade 2013 in the City Hall.

The programme includes a visit to the Kazan Helicopter Plant and the Regional public chamber of the plenipotentiary representation of the President of the Russian Federation of the Volga Federal District in Tatarstan.
