Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev has handed over state awards of Russia and the Republic of Tatarstan to 55 citizens of the Republic who contributed to development of Tatarstan – people working in science and culture, state management, banking, healthcare and education, industry, construction and agriculture. The awarding ceremony has been held in Kazan Kremlin on July 2.
Opening the ceremony, the head of Tatarstan thanked the guests personally and on behalf of Tatarstan State Council, Tatarstan Government for huge contribution and valiant service for the good of the republic. “We achieve great results, the republic is progressing thanks to your work,” Mintimer Shaimiev said. He informed about achievements in social-economic development of Tatarstan.
Then Mintimer Shaimiev handed over state awards of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan.
The order “For Service to the Motherland” (IV degree) was given to Department Chairman at Kazan State Technical University named after Tupolev Anatoly Dregalin. Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, General-Major Andrei Vazanov received the Order of Honor.
Tatarstan Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Marat Khusnullin received the medal of the order “For Service to the Motherland” (II degree). 15 citizens of Tatarstan were presented with Russian state awards – the Order of Friendship, medals of the order “For Service to the Motherland” and honored titles.
37 Tatarstan citizens received state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan. For example, Director General of Tatarstan Agency on Mass Communication Marat Muratov was given Tatarstan medal “For Valiant Service”. Director of Tatarstan President’s Department of External Relations – State Councilor of Tatarstan President on international affairs Timur Akulov received the same award.
