Mintimer Shaimiev met with Rosnanotech Director General Leonid Melamed

August 5 saw the meeting of the President of Tatarstan, Mintimer Shaimiev, and the Director General of the state corporation "Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies", Leonid Melamed, taking place in the Kazan Kremlin.

The Tatarstan President expressed gratitude to Leonid Melamed for the state corporation paying attention to Tatarstan's scientific and technical potential, traditional scientific schools successfully developing in the republic.

After the meeting the parties signed the cooperation agreement in the field of development of nano-industry between the Republic of Tatarstan and Rosnanotech.

"Our rule is that we conclude agreements only with regions from which we receive concrete projects. And a project for us is one that results in production of competitive products that have a chance to compete not only in Russia but also on global markets. We support future nanotechnological centres, - Leonid Melamed commented on the results of the meeting with the Tatarstan President. As of today, Tatarstan has a chance to become one of them. We all know that the republic has always had a powerful scientific and technical potential. Add the will of the leadership, it becomes clear why we have signed this agreement."
