Mintimer Shaimiev has opened an Ice Palace in Cheremshan

Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev visited the Cheremshan district, Tatarstan on August 26. The head of the republic was accompanied by Marat Ahmetov, the RT Deputy Prime-minister - Agriculture and Foodstuff Minister, Marat Khusnulin, the RT Construction, Architecture and Housing Minister, Talgat Abdullin, the Executive Director of the State Housing Foundation under the RT President, Shafagat Takhautdinov, the Director General of OAO "Tatneft", Minsagit Shakirov, the Head of the Cheremshan district. 

 

Mintimer Shaimiev got familiarized with the course of major overhaul of apartment buildings in Cheremshan, 12 of which are to be complete in August.

The head of the republic focused on a very important issue of social mortgages for young families. "Young people who are single or have a common-law partner are, in fact, counted out. And having an own home is a basis for a family," the President said.

Later on, Mintimer Shaimiev examined sugar beet fields and new beet harvesters. The head of the republic marked that the Cheremshan district is first in terms of forage harvesting and is among first ten in terms of crop capacity.

At a meeting with heads of district agricultural units, the President of Tatarstan talked about another socially important question of health services. The day also saw the opening of the Ice palace, the construction of which started in the year of 275th anniversary of Cheremshan and therefore it was called the Anniversary Palace (Yubileiniy Palace). Its area is 1,800 sq m with a capacity of 1000 people.
