Ambassador of France was received in the Representative Office of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation

On March 25th Mr. M. Stolyarov, First Deputy of Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation received French Republic Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in the Russian Federation Jean de Gliniasti.

Mr. Gliniasti arrived at Moscow a short time ago: he was appointed as Ambassador in January 2009 superseding Stanislav de Labule.

According to the Ambassador the visit to the Representative Office of Tatarstan is "of preliminary and reconnaissance nature, willing to learn about the republic that has long-lived business and culture ties with France".

Mr. Stolyarov told the Ambassador in detail about the social and economic, political and cultural situation in the republic, as well as about the measures the Authorities of Tatarstan take to cushion the consequences of the global financial and economic crises, and about the great industrial, intellectual and spiritual potential of the Republic of Tatarstan.

In the course of the meeting there was also the discussion of the possibility of expanding investment activities of French business partners in the context of Universiade-2013 to be held in Kazan.
