Leasing conditions moderated for Tatarstan small business

26 March 2009, Thursday
A decision on moderating the criteria of lease payments timeliness and fullness was made due to the conditions of the world financial crisis in Tatarstan.

Director of OOO Tatarstan Leasing Company for Small Business Ayrat Kayumov informed about it after the session of the Trustees Council of Tatarstan Investment-Venture Fund under chairmanship of Tatarstan Premier Rustam Minnikhanov on March 24.

Ayrat Kayumov informed that the following decision was made at the session: to introduce changes in “The programme of supporting small and middle businesses by investing in means of production on leasing basis” with the purpose to provide affordability of lease payments backing for small and medium entrepreneurship subjects in the crisis conditions.

According to Ayrat Kayumov’s words, the decision on moderating the criteria of lease payment timeliness and fullness was made. “From now on, no more than three months lease payment debt is considered to be permissible under the stipulation that the debt size doesn’t exceed one lease payment,” he informed. A. Kayumov said the Leasing Company for Small Business met entrepreneurship subjects halfway for the reason that “lessees don’t receive revenue in full scale as the case stands”.

Ayrat Kayumov emphasized that the “no day and no kopeck” principle had been in force before. “The extreme measure was withdrawal of lease units,” he explained.

The Republic of Tatarstan Leasing Company for Small Business was founded in September 2005. The founders are Tatarstan Investment-Venture Fund (95 percent) and Tatarstan Chamber of Industry and Commerce (5 percent). The company’s work is regulated by the programme for support of small and medium entrepreneurship.
