Mintimer Shaimiev has laid flowers to Eternal Flame in Victory Park

On the threshold of Defenders of the Motherland Day Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev visited the Victory Park to commemorate the fallen in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) and lay flowers to the Eternal Flame.

The head of the republic was accompanied by Chairman of the Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Chief of Staff of the RT President’s Executive Office Yury Kamaltynov, First Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ravil Muratov, Deputy Chairman of the Tatarstan State Council Aleksander Gusev, Tatarstan Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Protection Airat Shafigullin and other officials.

Heroes of the Soviet Union Sabir Akhtyamov and Boris Kuznetsov, Chairman of Tatarstan Committee of the War and Military Service Veterans Akhat Yulashev, the Great Patriotic War veterans and military service veterans took part in the solemn ceremony of laying flowers.

Mintimer Shaimiev and other officials laid carnations to the Eternal Flame of the Glory Memorial colonnade.
