RT President Mintimer Shaimiev attended a meeting in Nizhni Novgorod

RT President Mintimer Shaimiev took part in a district meeting on issues of interaction in tackling tasks of social and economic development of the regions of the Volga Federal District held in Nizhni Novgorod on February 18. Russian Defence Minister Anatoly Serdyukov and Plenipotentiary Representative of the RF President in the Volga Federal District Grigory Rapota were present at the meeting.

At the meeting heads of subjects of the Volga Federal District discussed two important issues: provision Volga Federal District’s defence enterprises with government business and military personnel and their families with accommodation on the territory of this district.

After the meeting the President said to journalists that currently realisation of government business for defence enterprises was drawn: contests are not announced and advances are not made. At the conference Russian Defence Minister noted that there will not be practical reduction of government business. Within the next few days contracts will be concluded and advances will be made.

RT President Mintimer Shaimiev said that Tatarstan was characterised positively on the issue of provision military personnel with accommodation. He also mentioned that realisation of more amount certificates for accommodation on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan might be possible including due to special mortgage programme.
