RT President has met with RF Central Election Commission Chairman Vladimir Churov

February 11, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev met with Vladimir Churov, the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, at the Kazan Kremlin.

The meeting was held as part of Vladimir Churov's working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan. Vladimir Churov is to examine the course of preparation for the elections to the RT State Council of the fourth convocation. He is also to meet with Grigory Rapota, the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the RF President in the Volga Federal District.


On February 12th, Mr Churov will visit Kazan State University and take part in the opening of the Days of the young voter in Tatarstan. The same day, he will meet with Farid Mukhametshin, the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, leaders of regional branches of political parties and mass-media.

Vladimir Churov will leave for Moscow late on February 12.
