Mintimer Shaimiev congratulated veterans of war and workers of rear on coming Victory Day

Today President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev congratulated veterans of Great Patriotic war and workers of rear on the eve of 61-st anniversary of Great Victory.

At solemn reception held in Stamp hall of the Kazan Kremlin about 70 participants of Great Patriotic war and workers of rear from cities and regions of republic were invited. Among them - Heroes of Soviet Union Sabir Akhtyamov and Boris Kuznetsov, well known art workers - actors Shaukat Bektemirov and Vera Minkina, artist Haris Jakupov, actor Airat Arslanov, singer Munira Bulatova and many others.

Before the beginning of solemn action veterans of war and workers of rear photographed with President of Tatarstan against background of Representation building of the Kazan Kremlin. The head of republic invited group of the Kazan schoolboys to join them who at this time went sightseeing the Kremlin. Kids in chorus congratulated veterans on coming Day of Victory and wished them a sound health.

Solemn reception began from a congratulation by head of republic. «Dear veterans of war and workers of rear! Using an opportunity of a today's meeting, from myself personally, on behalf of the State Council and the Government of republic, on behalf of all multinational people of Tatarstan, I want to congratulate you on a great holiday - 61-st anniversary of the Victory of our people in Great Patriotic i war, - Mintimer Shaimiev said . - it has been much told about war, it is necessary to speak about it in a full voice today, and at all times because the cost of this Victory - is great». President of Tatarstan emphasized, that today it is necessary to make all so that such war never more repeated in a history of mankind. The head of republic called to honour memory of victims on fronts of Great Patriotic war and wished health veterans and workers of rear, everyone who today shares with us joy of Victory Day.
