President of Tatarstan discussed with director of World bank on Russia perspective directions of further cooperation

Today President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev has received in the Kazan Kremlin director of the World bank on Russia - the permanent representative of the World bank in Moscow Kristallina Georgieva. At the meeting results of reception of the first tranche of the credit allocated by the World bank on financing of municipal development of Kazan have been summed up and priority directions of the further cooperation determined.

We remind, last year the World bank allocated the credit to Kazan in amount of 125 million dollars. Then the first tranche was transferred at a rate of 50 million dollars. The second tranche in amount of 75 million dollars will come to Kazan up to the end of June of this year, Kristallina Georgieva assured President of Tatarstan during the meeting of the Kremlin.

As Mintimer Shaimiev noted, some directions of the further cooperation between Tatarstan and the World bank linked with housing and communal services, investments in FEZ "Alabuga", indemnifications for reduction of emission of harmful substances in environment in frameworks of Kyoto Protocol are planned.
