Visit of Tatarstan delegation to Middle East countries started

On March 29, the visit of RT President Mintimer Shaimiev to Syria, Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has begun. Head of the republic stated about that at the 1st session of strategic vision group “Russia – the Islamic World” in Moscow.

Speaking about aims of the forthcoming visit, Mintimer Shaimiev, noted, in particular that it is planned to consider a number of economic issues. “We have good economic connections and now there is a possibility to strengthen them, broaden the volumes and get on with concrete projects”, - said RT President. He noted that at present the business circles are in process of negotiations. Although, “there are questions to be solved at political level”, said Mintimer Shaimiev. “We would like to give a new impulse to our relationships”, - he added. Affinity of traditions and mentality obliges us to become closer and use it in the interests of our peoples, emphasized President of Tatarstan.
